Dr Eamon Haughey

Dr Eamon Haughey is an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Natural Resources & the Environment at Atlantic Technological University, Galway. His research interests are focused on applied plant ecology, soil science, sustainable land use and climate change. Previously he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin, where he investigated the interactions between climate change and land in Ireland and contributed to the IPCC 2019 Special Report on Climate Change and Land. Prior to this, Eamon was a scientist with the Cocoa Life sustainability program of Mondelēz International. He holds a PhD in Applied Plant Ecology from UCD and Teagasc, in which he investigated the potential of multispecies swards as an adaptation strategy to drought in agricultural grasslands.
