Research assistant on the ERC funded TERRAFORM project.

Katie is serving a position as a research assistant for the TERRAFORM research project. Her primary role will be to assist the team with the execution of experiments, utilizing the state-of-the-art plant growth chambers, recently acquired by Trinity College.

In 2021, she graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Environmental Science from University College Dublin. Before joining the TERRAFORM team, Katie worked at Schneider Electric, a multinational that delivers automation, digitization and energy management solutions, with a primary focus on sustainability.

In 2019, Katie spent 6 weeks completing tropical rainforest research at the Iwokrama Rainforest in Guyana. She completed her thesis on ‘The Physiological Characterization of Barley to Waterlogging’.

Her interests include natural sciences, sustainability, science communication, art and global issues.
