Dylan is interning as a postgraduate research assistant for the TERRAFORM research project. His primary focus will be assisting with the evolutionary weather experiments using the Variable Atmosphere and Light growth chambers.
He graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Plant Science from University College Dublin in 2024 where he was also presented with the Botany medal ‘23-24. He has also been awarded the Stage 3 and Stage 4 B.Sc. Plant science scholarships from UCD and received a bursary to assist in investigating the diversity of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in grasslands vs sand dune ecosystems. He completed his thesis on “Patterns of colonization and sporulation of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi in pot cultures in association with different plant hosts” in the Microbial Interactions Lab at UCD.
His interests include ecology, palaeobotany, taxonomy and plant-microbe interactions.
